Market maker model: the full cycle and the final checklist

The market maker model is the widest lens in the course: it frames an entire swing as a deliberately built cycle of accumulation, a run to one side, a reversal, and distribution to the other. It is power of three stretched across a larger move, and it ties every earlier concept together. This final module lays out the buy and sell versions, then collapses the whole course into one daily routine and a pre-trade checklist you can run on any session. Treat the checklist as the deliverable; it is the course in one page.

01

The market maker model

The market maker model reads a large move as a constructed cycle rather than a trend that simply happened. Price accumulates in a range, runs one way to raid liquidity and trap traders, reverses at an extreme, and then distributes all the way to the opposing liquidity. It is the same accumulation, manipulation, distribution logic as power of three, scaled up to a swing that can span a day or more. Seeing the whole cycle keeps you oriented: you know whether you are near the trap or near the target.

A whole swing read as a built cycle, trap then distribution.
02

The market maker buy model

The buy model delivers price down to a low, then up to a target. It accumulates, runs down to raid sell-side liquidity and trap sellers at an obvious low (the smart money reversal point), reverses with displacement, and distributes up toward buy-side liquidity. You want to be buying at the reversal low, confirmed by a sweep and a structure shift, not selling into the run down that precedes it. The buy model is where your bullish daily bias and a discount array come together at the bottom of the cycle.

Buy the reversal low after the raid, ride distribution up.
03

The market maker sell model

The sell model is the mirror: accumulate, run up to raid buy-side liquidity and trap buyers at an obvious high, reverse with displacement, and distribute down toward sell-side. You want to be selling at the reversal high, confirmed by a sweep and a shift, not buying the run up into it. The sell model is where a bearish daily bias meets a premium array at the top of the cycle. Recognising which model you are in tells you which side to hunt and where the real target sits.

04

The full daily routine

Here is the course as a routine. Before the session: set your daily bias and the draw on liquidity (module 15); mark the previous day and week levels, the daily open, and the Asian range; note the nearest higher-timeframe arrays. During the killzone (module 10): wait for price to reach a liquidity pool and sweep it; check for SMT divergence; wait for displacement to shift structure and leave a fair value gap. Then execute the 2022 model or a silver bullet, entering on the gap or order block, stop beyond the sweep, target the opposing liquidity. After: journal it. Same order, every day.

05

The final checklist

Run this before any entry, and if any line is no, you pass. Bias: is this trade in the direction of my higher-timeframe draw. Time: am I in a killzone or silver bullet window. Liquidity: did price sweep an obvious pool first. Displacement: did it shift structure with force and leave a fair value gap. Array: am I entering at a gap, order block or OTE in the correct premium or discount half. Risk: is the stop beyond the swept extreme and the reward at least twice the risk to clean liquidity. Six yeses, or no trade.

06

Discipline, journaling and gold

The model is only as good as the hand running it. Keep risk fixed and small per trade, let the checklist say no far more often than yes, and journal every trade with the bias, time, sweep, array and result so the method improves with evidence rather than feeling. On gold specifically, respect the news and rollover windows where spreads widen, favour the London and New York killzones, and accept that many sessions offer no complete setup at all. The edge is in waiting for the full cycle and the six yeses, not in trading more. That patience, not any single pattern, is what the whole course has been building toward.

Q

FAQ

What is the market maker model?

It reads a large move as a built cycle: accumulation, a run to one side to raid liquidity and trap traders, a reversal at the extreme, then distribution to the opposing liquidity. It is power of three scaled up to a full swing.

What is the difference between the buy and sell models?

The buy model runs price down to raid sell-side and trap sellers at a low, then reverses and distributes up; you buy the reversal low. The sell model runs up to raid buy-side and trap buyers at a high, then distributes down; you sell the reversal high.

What is the final checklist?

Six questions before any entry: bias aligned, in a killzone or silver bullet window, liquidity swept first, displacement shifted structure and left a gap, entry at a gap or order block or OTE in the correct half, and risk defined with reward at least twice the risk. Any no means no trade.

What is the daily routine that ties the course together?

Before the session set bias and mark levels; during the killzone wait for a sweep, check SMT, and wait for displacement and a gap; then execute the 2022 model or silver bullet with a defined stop and target; afterward journal it. The same order every day.

Does following the model guarantee profits?

No. It is an educational framework for reading and timing price. It can help you wait for higher-quality situations and define risk, but results depend on discipline, risk control and screen time. The course ends on journaling and patience for exactly that reason.
