The Best XAUUSD Live Chart in 2026: Seven Free Gold Charts Compared
For most gold traders the best free XAUUSD live chart is one of two: TradingView if you trade many markets and want to build your own analysis, or XAUUSD Live Chart if you trade gold and want structure, zones and order blocks drawn for you. Investing.com, MetaTrader 5, Kitco, Forex Factory and Myfxbook each win a narrower job, and the table below shows which.
How we compared them
We opened each platform's official pages on October 18, 2026 and recorded what they state about cost, login, data, timeframes, automatic analysis and mobile apps. Where a page did not state a fact, or where the site blocked automated access, the cell says not checked rather than a guess. We did not rate platforms with stars or scores, and nothing here is a paid placement. The columns match what gold traders actually ask: is it free, do I need an account, is the price live, which timeframes, does it read structure for me, and does it work on a phone.
One honest disclosure first. XAUUSD Live Chart is this site's own chart. We have tried to list where it loses as clearly as where it wins, and the older posts TradingView vs XAUUSD Live Chart and best free XAUUSD charts go into the same comparison from different angles.

Checked on the official sites on October 18, 2026. Forex Factory and Myfxbook blocked automated page access, so only facts published on their own pages that we could read are included. Features change; treat the table as a starting point and confirm on the platform before you rely on it.
TradingView
TradingView is the reference charting platform and for good reason. The free plan costs nothing and needs no card, a symbol page such as the XAUUSD chart opens without logging in, and the interval menu runs from seconds to twelve months with custom intervals on top. The gold price comes from a broker feed and the mobile apps are mature.
Where it wins: every market in one place, a scripting language for your own indicators, a huge library of community tools, alerts and multi-chart layouts. If you trade gold alongside indices or currencies, nothing else here comes close.
Where it loses for gold: the analysis is yours to build. Nothing is drawn until you add it, the free plan limits how many indicators you can stack, and the structure tools you find in the community vary widely in quality. Our free Gold Structure Lite script is one option that confirms on close and does not repaint.
Investing.com
Investing.com offers a free streaming XAU/USD chart that opens without an account, with chart types from candles to Heikin Ashi, drawing tools and a standard indicator set. The site states plainly that its prices are indicative and may not be real-time, which is fair for an aggregated quote. Android and iOS apps are available.
Where it wins: breadth. News, an economic calendar, historical data and quotes for almost everything sit next to the chart.
Where it loses: the chart is a general tool with advertising around it, and it does no structural analysis for you.
MetaTrader 5
MetaTrader 5 is the broker terminal most retail gold traders execute in. The platform is a free download for Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, with a web version, and it offers 21 timeframes. Quotes and depth come from the broker you connect to, so a broker account, or a demo account, is required to see live gold.
Where it wins: execution. One-click trading, pending orders, automated strategies and a large marketplace of custom indicators.
Where it loses: the default charts are plain, structure tools are third-party add-ons, and the price you see is your broker's price, which differs slightly between brokers. Our guide to XAUUSD charts on TradingView, MT5 and broker apps covers the trade-offs.
Kitco
Kitco is the bullion dealer's chart. The live gold chart updates every few seconds during trading hours, the historical selector runs from three days to fifteen years, and the Kitco Gold Live app is free. No login is mentioned anywhere on the chart page.
Where it wins: physical market context. Kitco surrounds the chart with bullion news, premiums and long-run history that pure trading platforms ignore.
Where it loses: it is a price chart, not a trading chart. No intraday structure tools, no order blocks, limited drawing.
Forex Factory
Forex Factory is known for its economic calendar, and its Market pages add real-time aggregated prices for a set of forex instruments including gold, with a live option that updates without reloading. The site blocked our automated access, so cost, login, timeframes and mobile details are left as not checked rather than assumed.
Where it wins: timing. Pairing the gold chart with the calendar on the same site makes news avoidance simple.
Where it loses: the chart itself is secondary to the calendar and the forums.
Myfxbook
Myfxbook publishes free live forex charts with timeframes from one minute to monthly and real-time price updates, alongside its better-known community sentiment and account-tracking tools. As with Forex Factory, automated access was blocked, so login and mobile details are not checked.
Where it wins: sentiment and analytics. The XAUUSD outlook pages show how its community is positioned, and the account tools are the standard for verified track records.
Where it loses: the chart is functional but basic, with no automatic structure.
XAUUSD Live Chart
This site's chart does one thing. It charts gold, and a handful of related instruments, with the analysis already drawn: supply and demand zones, order blocks, BOS and CHoCH markers, session boxes, liquidity levels and more than 120 tools, on 14 timeframes from M1 to 6M. Every level confirms on a closed candle so nothing repaints. The XAUUSD live chart is free, needs no account and installs as a web app on a phone. How the zones are built is documented on the methodology page.
Where it wins: gold-specific reading. Open it and the structure is there, with the free SMC, ICT, VSA and Wyckoff courses explaining every layer.
Where it loses: it covers eight instruments, not thousands. It does not execute trades, it has no scripting language, and its community is a WhatsApp group, not a global library. If you need any of those, open TradingView or your broker terminal alongside it.
Which one should you open?
- You trade gold only and want the reading done: XAUUSD Live Chart, with TradingView or MT5 for execution.
- You trade many markets: TradingView, and add a structure script.
- You need to place the trade: MetaTrader 5 or your broker's platform.
- You check the price and read news: Investing.com or Kitco.
- You trade around the calendar: Forex Factory next to whichever chart you read.
- You want to see how other traders are positioned: Myfxbook.
Most experienced gold traders end up with two windows open: a reading chart and an execution terminal. The reading chart is where indicators and structure matter, and our best indicator for gold guide explains which of those earn their place. None of this is investment advice; every platform here is a tool, and the decision stays with you.
FAQ
What is the best free XAUUSD live chart?
It depends on the job. TradingView is the best general charting platform and covers every market. XAUUSD Live Chart is built for gold only and draws supply and demand, order blocks and structure for you. Investing.com and Kitco suit price checking, Forex Factory suits news timing and Myfxbook suits sentiment and account analytics.
Is the XAUUSD live chart on this site really free?
Yes. The chart, the 14 timeframes and the analysis layers are free and need no account. The WhatsApp group is optional. The site is educational and does not sell signals.
Which gold chart is best for beginners?
A chart that shows levels without setup work. This site marks zones and structure automatically and the guides explain each layer. TradingView is also beginner friendly but expects you to choose and configure your own indicators.
Do I need MetaTrader 5 to trade gold?
You need MetaTrader 5, or your broker's own platform, to place trades. You do not need it for analysis. Many traders read gold on a web chart and execute in the broker terminal.
Which XAUUSD chart has real-time prices?
All seven platforms compared here update continuously during market hours. The difference is the source: broker feeds on TradingView, MetaTrader 5 and this site, and aggregated quotes on Investing.com, Kitco, Forex Factory and Myfxbook. Spot gold has no single exchange price, so small differences between feeds are normal.
